Coalition for the Homeless Presser Begins 10 a.m., 1414 Congress
The results of the 2014 Point-In-Time Homeless Count, conducted on Jan. 30, 2014, will be publicly released and discussed Thursday. The Coalition for the Homeless of Houston and Harris County organized the count, along with the support of the University of Texas’ School of Public Health and the Houston Department of Health and Human Services. The federal government requires the annual count as it relates to the funding received at the local level through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). An Executive Summary of the results will be provided at the event.
